In such cases, at the time of ordering, Ceramishop reserves the right to verify actual availability with the manufacturer. If the product is not available, the payment will be released and will not be charged.

Unloading
Unloading the goods is a delicate and important moment to ensure the integrity of the delivered products:

Hydraulic Tail Lift Unloading: If the pallet weighs less than 900 kg, we will use a hydraulic tail lift to facilitate safe and efficient unloading. Make sure the delivery address is easily accessible by heavy vehicles and there is enough space for unloading.
-
Goods Inspections: It is advisable to be present during unloading to check the condition of the goods and immediately report any anomalies. Always include the phrase "ACCEPTED WITH RESERVATION OF CONTROL" on the delivery note when signing.

Installation of Porcelain Tiles
1) Substrate Preparation
Before starting the installation of porcelain stoneware, it is essential to properly prepare the substrate. This step is crucial to ensure that the tiles adhere perfectly and last over time. The screed, which is the base on which the tiles will be laid, must be:
-
Perfectly Level: Ensure that the screed is completely level. The maximum tolerance is 3 mm under a 2-meter straightedge. If there are larger irregularities, they must be leveled using specific products.
-
Dry and Clean: The screed must be well dried and free of dust, oils, or other substances that could compromise the adhesion of the tiles. It is important that it is also seasoned, meaning it has been left to rest for the necessary time to avoid shrinkage or cracking after installation.
-
Strong and Resistant: The screed must be strong enough to support the weight of the tiles and withstand the expected traffic in the area. This will ensure that the floor does not get damaged over time.
2) Adhesive Selection
The choice of adhesive is a key step for a successful installation. The adhesive should be chosen based on several factors:
-
Type of Tiles: The type of tile, such as porcelain stoneware, requires a specific adhesive. For porcelain stoneware, we recommend a high-performance cementitious adhesive (C2 class according to EN 12004), which offers strong adhesion and long-lasting durability.
-
Tile Format: If you are using large-format tiles, it is important to choose an adhesive that can adequately support the weight and ensure good adhesion.
-
Intended Use: Consider where the tiles will be installed. Indoor, outdoor, or wet areas require adhesives with specific characteristics.
-
Type of Substrate: The type of surface on which the tiles are to be installed affects the choice of adhesive. Cementitious screeds, wood, or existing surfaces require different products.
3) Tile Installation
Once the substrate is prepared and the right adhesive chosen, you can proceed with the installation of the tiles. Here’s how:
-
Applying the Adhesive: Spread the adhesive on the substrate with a notched trowel, creating a uniform bed on which to lay the tiles. For better adhesion, you can also apply a small amount of adhesive to the back of the tiles.
-
Placing the Tiles: Carefully place the tiles, applying light pressure to ensure complete contact with the adhesive. Use spacers to maintain a uniform distance between the tiles and achieve perfect joints.
-
Cutting the Tiles: If necessary, cut the tiles to fit corners or tight spaces. Use a tile cutter or grinder to obtain a precise cut.
4) Grouting the Joints
After installing the tiles, it is important to grout the joints to complete the installation:
-
Waiting and Preparation: Wait at least 24-48 hours after bonding the tiles before proceeding with grouting. This allows the adhesive to dry completely.
-
Applying the Grout: Choose a grout compatible with the tiles and suitable for the intended use, such as cementitious or epoxy grout. Apply the grout in the joints using a rubber spatula or trowel, ensuring that all spaces are completely filled.
-
Final Cleaning: After grouting, clean the surface of the tiles with a damp sponge, removing excess grout and leaving the joints smooth and uniform.
Porcelain Tiles Cleaning
1) Ordinary Cleaning
Keeping porcelain stoneware always clean and shiny is simple if you follow some basic steps. Regular cleaning helps prevent the accumulation of dust and dirt, keeping the surface like new:
-
Regular Sweeping: Frequently sweep the surface to remove dust and debris. This is the first step in keeping your floor in excellent condition.
-
Vacuum Cleaning: Periodically vacuum for a deeper clean, especially in the joints and corners where more dirt can accumulate.
-
Damp Cloth or Mop: Use a damp cloth or mop to easily remove stains and footprints, keeping the surface always shiny and streak-free.
2) Extraordinary Cleaning
When the floor requires a deeper cleaning, here’s how to proceed to achieve the best results:
-
Neutral Detergent: Dilute a neutral detergent in warm water following the manufacturer's instructions. Neutral detergents are ideal because they clean effectively without damaging the porcelain stoneware surface.
-
Application: Apply the solution on the surface using a sponge or mop. Make sure to cover the entire area evenly.
-
Action Time: Let the solution sit for a few minutes to allow the detergent to dissolve the more resistant dirt.
-
Rinsing and Drying: Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all detergent residues. Finally, dry with a soft cloth or mop to avoid streaks.
3) Removing Stubborn Stains
For particularly difficult stains such as grease, ink, or wine, follow these steps for impeccable results:
-
Specific Detergent: Apply a specific detergent for porcelain stoneware directly on the stain. It is important to act quickly to prevent the stain from penetrating deeply.
-
Waiting Time: Let the detergent sit for the time indicated by the manufacturer. This allows the product to work effectively on the stain.
-
Gentle Brushing: Gently scrub the area with a soft-bristle brush to remove the stain without scratching the surface.
-
Rinsing and Drying: Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft cloth to complete the cleaning.
3) Protective treatments
To keep your porcelain stoneware in perfect condition for a long time, consider applying protective treatments:
-
Sealants for Joints: Applying a sealant on the joints and perimeter areas can help prevent the absorption of dirt and moisture, making cleaning easier.
-
Waxes or Impregnators: These treatments can be used to create a protective barrier that makes cleaning easier and increases the surface’s resistance.
Always remember to carefully follow the manufacturer's instructions and test the product on a small hidden area before applying it to the entire surface.
5) Useful Tips
To ensure effective and safe cleaning of porcelain stoneware, keep these simple tips in mind:
-
Avoid Acidic or Abrasive Products: These can damage the tile surface and compromise its shine.
-
Clean Stains Immediately: Act quickly to prevent stains from penetrating deeply and becoming more difficult to remove.
-
Use Clean Cloths and Sponges: Dirty cloths and sponges can spread dirt instead of removing it, so make sure they are always clean.
-
Adequate Ventilation: After cleaning, ventilate the rooms well to promote drying and prevent moisture buildup.
